What if humans never had a Bible or Quran?

What if, a billion years in future, a new kind of a bible or Quran emerges, wherever-something religious? May be the future human will call it TAMTAM. Then, they will not be believing about this supernatural being called God or Allah. There will be no known record of the current religious books. This is because as the current human rushes to digitize almost everything and destroying hard copies or physical beings of anything, at one point in future, say in a million years, all the data is lost. Hard drives and all forms of digital memory smoked in some data breach mess, all servers chewed and backup system fried.

The adult human in future, backed up by their leaders and elders decide to start passing over the knowledge they learnt, observed and experienced while young over to their younger ones. Just like we were told our fore fathers of our great-great grand parents did. The information will be passed, images drawn, monuments built by memory and imagination of how those who claim to have seen and experienced will narrate. As the information is passed on, key details will be missed, misinterpreted each time it will be passed on to the next generation.

A billion years later, no one will know about any current religious book, history book or there being a God in heaven. No one will know that there is satan, an imaginary black honed spirit in charge of hell. No one will know that there is eternal fire in hell if you sinned. What is sin anyway in future?

The future human, will be armed with a very important book, TAMTAM. No one will care whether it is a holy book or not. They will know the Tamtam. A book humanity will bow to and worship.

Tamtam will have so many books inside, just like the bible. Written from memory of spiritually inspired saints like Brian, Tony, Jonte or Shakilla and many others.

Instead of the current anointing oil, the future human will be having something more powerful like anointing gin or cognac. Stag parties and orgies will no longer be a secret, but embedded in the constitution of the future human, taxed with fully laid down procedures set to be followed.

The inspirational books in Tamtam will be told in series, seasons and episodes. For instance, the book of Shakilla Season one, Episode 22. The book of Shakilla Season 9 Episode 19. There will be writers who either lived during the time of Shakilla, had fun with her or were told stories about Shakilla and will be writing about this phenomenon woman out of memory. Some episodes, would be written by Shakilla herself. Probably archeologist would find her diary in some a billion-year-old structure believed to have been a famous night club discovered at the bed of an ocean.

In one of the books of Jonte, you will find the story a famous city lawyer who, about a billion years ago, was invited into a birthday party by friends. In that story, Jonte will vividly narrate how the lawyer was put into a truth or dare game. Jonte will tell how the lawyer was put to choose whether he would say how many girls he had slept with in front of his crush or put to lick some cake icing sugar applied on another girl’s mammary.

The book of Brian will be like the Act of Apostles. It will have narrations of all Brian’s circle of friends, both male and female. This holy book, for instance, will have a story of how one Kevo, while in campus, eloped with his best friend’s girl friend from a bash in one of the hostel at the university. In the story Kevo will hide the girl in his hostel room and go back to the bash like nothing happened. They will then get drunk with his best friend and on realizing his girlfriend is missing, Kevo will offer to try and help his best friend locate his missing darling. The following day, Kevo will be in his room with the girl and his best friend would have gotten wind of his escapades. The story will narrate how Kevo’s best friend, now furious went with a machete to Kevo’s room but the clever friend had jumped through the grill-less window from 2nd floor to ground floor.

Tamtam, the holy book a billion years to come will be in everyone’s lips. Children will be taught from it and they will be told to learn from the characters who lived a billion years ago. The children will learn how those humans were intelligent, how they had fun and made money quickly.

Everything you consider evil, weird and immoral today, will be included in the future human’s constitution. It will be part of life, considered human and normal. I mean, how could anyone live without it? Tamtam will be placed on future car dashboards, it will be provided in hotel rooms and whoever will believe in any character whose story will be narrated in it, will inherit all the fun in the world. Amen.
